Culture

edit

Trazians were unique for holding the royal family to a near divine veneration. Statues of kings and queens shared platform with the gods in temples, and many thought the monarch capable of performing miracles. After the annexing of Bel-Ka-Trazet, however, idolatry of the king and royal family was forbidden under the Highpriest law.

History

edit

By Humanity 82 the Cult of the Royal Gens had began to waver. By this point many temples and clergies among the common folk had began to recognize the orthodox teachings of the Highpriest, some even leaving the Cult entirely. In order to prevent the further influence of rival powers King Æthelbald II began a mass persecution of adherents to the Highpriests church.

In retaliation, a host led by Judge Gideon was sent to annex Bel-Ka-Trazet. After a prolonged and grueling struggle the Trazian legion fell to the Judges tribunal. As of Humanity 90, Bel-Ka-Trazet operated as an independent diocese in the church of the Highpriest.
