Deun (/deɪn/, "dane") was brother to Aurion and Aubechs and marshal-beast of Chimerae He bore the aspect of an ebon-scaled dragon or winged serpent or of a general in armor with the head of such a creature.
Deun was at his birth blessed by Dum with a heart of such rare strength that the godling would quiver and writhe with its every beat. For pain or for fear or for spite or for something stranger, he tore the heart from his chest in a slight insufferable to the undying god, and so its bitter feud with the heartless wyrm is said to have began.
