Moriddigan was the elder goddess of death and devouring.
Description
Moriddigan was commonly depicted as a gaping maw stretching across the abyss. Certain depictions of Moriddigan were yonic, symbolizing the balance of life and death. Her symbol was the open maw and her color was crimson.
History
Moriddigan was believed to be the oldest of the living gods, having emerged from beneath the world at the gates of time. According to some works of eschatology, Moriddigan will one day end the world by opening her maw wide and devouring the gods.
