Gibb (/dʒɪb/, "JIBB") was a major deity of the law and its virtue in society. He was king of the moon and commanded the tides.
Description
Gibb was often depicted as a stern and wizened man with gaunt skin cast half in shadow pallid hair. In these depictions he was clad in silver regalia and ivory garb and draped in pearl and opal necklaces. His symbols were the man-in-the-moon, the scepter and the phallus.
History
Gibb once served as a reclusive deity of the crescent moon. After aiding Venursol in her coup for the Pellucid Throne he was granted the role of chancellor for his pantheon.
Gibb was wed to Thlepis. Many cultures observed the shadow of a swan when gazing at the moons surface.
