Ouzeqo-Ouzeqoginzer-Igonouzeq was a dwarf planet in the Monizo System. Although habitable, its water cycle was contaminated by naturally occurring toxins. Rain, rivers, lakes, and other exposed bodies of water were unsafe for most intelligent life, though many native animal had evolved immunity.
The Skittermanders, the most prominent sentient life on the planet never developed such resistance. Instead, they built their civilization underground, where deep underwater caves and remained mostly free from the toxins. These underground water sources, along with the Skittermanders' ability to filter and clean provided safe drinking water and assured their survival on Ouzeqo-Ouzeqoginzer-Igonouzeq.
An umbrella was considered more essential than clothing when traveling above ground, becoming one of the most recognizable symbols of the species on Ouzeqo-Ouzeqoginzer-Igonouzeq, even appearing on it's flag.
