The crew of the Flaccid Thruster journey to the wreck of the HMPS Javelin, an Incorporate war barge from the twilight of the Last War, in hopes of recovering a superweapon allegedly mounted on the ships mortar. During the operation they are menaced by glitch-gremlins, hazardous radiation, alloid ship-stealers and a mad android crewmate. As they return to their ship to recover, they find it has been seized by hostile ship stealers, and must fight to drive the invaders out!
