Gweg Shimmerbottom was originally the primary heir to Thairin but chose in 762 to abdicate in pursuit of a peaceful life with his family. As of 766, he served as the magic advisor to Tirith Richlyth of Tel'arn.
In the winter of 766 Gweg disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
On the 7th of Shigarzur, 766, Gweg Shimmerbottom went undercover as Kven Cornmill and moved with his family to Fagedad.
