Thlepis (/flɛpɪs/, "FLEH-piss") was a major goddess of art, craftsmanship and the notion that good work is measured in the sweat of the artisans brow.
Description
Thlepiss most common depiction was as a three-legged, three-headed bird of prey. Each of her talons carries a different artifact: A hatchet, a crook and a rake. In her other guises she is the shadow of a swan on the surface of the moon or a woman with the head of an ibis.
History
Thlepis originally served as a minor patron goddess of certain nesting avians. After wedding Gibb she was promoted to a major deity of civilization.
