In '79 Ichabod became the sole inheritor of a manor in the western marches and soon leveraged the estate to buy the surrounding lands from [[Winterwend|the crown]]. Allegedly, he financed the purchase by smuggling for the [[Armiger Syndicates]].

Ichabod never married but nevertheless fathered three children, each from a different mother. After the adoption of [[Mary Fitzgerard]] insidious rumors claimed that Ichabod had coupled with one of the [[Orc|Svartalfir]].
