Getting deeper into the sewers, [[Globbnok]] spotted hair strands that unmistakably belonged to [[Gweg Shimmerbottom]]. Soon after, the party also discovered Gweg's distinctive purple winter hat. Getting deeper into the sewers, [[Globbnok]] spotted hair strands that unmistakably belonged to [[Gweg Shimmerbottom]]. Soon after, the party also discovered Gweg's distinctive purple winter hat. The search had led them to a large junction where sewage from multiple sources converged into a single tunnel. As they prepared to approach, [[Globbnok]] caught sight of movement in the water.

[[Sir Villevard]] recognized the movement in the water as two Sewer Eeze. As the party attempted to slip past, the creatures attacked. The party eventually triumphed and gathered themselves to descend into the tunnel ahead of them. Villevard was sent ahead to scout and enterd a large antechamber downstream. There he was met by a group of maintenance workers who regarded him with suspicion. When [[Globbnok]] and a shapeshifted [[Mjrn]] made an impromptu entrance the workers moved to attack. They were soon joined by a mage donning a disguise of [[Gweg Shimmerbottom]] who released a swarm of rats on the party.

The workers, the rats and the mage were all disposed off. In the aftermath of the battle, the party decided to investigate the room from where the mage entered and discovered a small study populated by a talking rat in a cage named [[Gormer]]. By relaying his requests through [[Mjrn]], [[Gormer]] asked to be dressed and was then permitted to accompany the party further into the sewers.
