| In an amendment to their initial contract the spacers agree to trace the corruption to its likely source: the aquifer underneath the TR6-88 Munincipal Waterworks. There in the bowels of the planets underbelly they do battle with the thralls of the Invisible Hand before confronting the being itself, which had masked its true whereabouts behind a psychic projection. When Inferno is almost struck dead by one of its minions, the spacers negotiate a hasty truce with the Invisible Hand but swiftly betray their promise once it turns its back on them.

| When the spacers return to collect their reward they are confronted by the mastermind behind the colonies ruin, the security minister Jules Ardynna, who threatens to do away with the them with a powerful explosive should they fail to help her in covering up her illicit operation. The spacers are able to disarm her, however, by thinking on their feet and pacifying her implement before it can detonate. Secure in the knowledge that the Incorporates subterfuge has been thwarted, they then bid farewell to their employer and set forth on their next mission.
